YOKOHAMA Award for fastest driver

The fastest driver in the 2014 FIA World Touring Car Championship will be nominated the WTCC YOKOHAMA Performer of the year.

WTCC Promoter Eurosport Events and YOKOHAMA as Official Tyre supplier to the FIA World Touring Car Championship will award the “YOKOHAMA Performer” to the driver setting the highest number of fastest laps taking into account each of the twelve races of the season.

Throughout the live TV coverage of the races, a specially designed “YOKOHAMA Performer” logo will be inserted on screen each time the fastest lap is improved, and there will be a dedicated section in the Official FIA WTCC Website www.fiawtcc.com showing the ranking of the faster drivers.

The presentation of a special prize to the WTCC YOKOHAMA Performer of the year will be awarded during the championship’s prize giving ceremony at Macau.

This weekend at Hungaroring, the stakes will be high again to see who indeed challenges to this award which is currently led by Citroen racing team driver Pechito Lopez.
