Rob Huff delighted with Goodwood Revival

Former FIA World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff thoroughly enjoyed his Goodwood Revival experience at the weekend.  The dynamic “Huffy” who was one of several active “Pro” guests at Goodwood is still contending for motorsports racing glory at the FIA WTCC with Russian manufacturer Lada.  With his sights set on becoming one of the most successful WTCC driver in terms of race wins, and recently achieving Lada’s maiden World Touring Car Championship podium finish in Argentina, he rounded off his Goodwood Revival weekend in spectacular fashion by showing his outstanding class racing in the RAC Tourist Trophy Celebration in Richard Meins’ Jaguar E-type FHC.

The phenomenal array of classic race cars in a weekend of historic racing at the beautiful Goodwood track and grounds is an opportunity too good to be missed and in “Huffy’s” own words, “This is one, where it actually is all about taking part”.  It was naturally competitive, but it was more the romance and beauty of the machinery available every September at Goodwood Circuit.  Since the late 90s, the Goodwood Revival offers a three-day festival that showcases the top level and glorious racing cars from the motorsports golden era of the 50s and 60s, while encouraging visitors to attend in period costume, creating a unique flair which is incomparable.

The occasion saw “Huffy” battling with the likes of Mark Blundell, Matt Neal and Andrew Jordan, among others. In Huff’s hands, the striking CUT 7 Engineering E-Type – one of only four built by Jaguar specifically for racing – lapped the Goodwood circuit faster than ever before.
