Successful FIA ETCC Awards Ceremony

Following the highly competitive racing throughout the season, the FIA ETCC-European Touring Car Cup, which boasts YOKOHAMA as its exclusive Tyre supplier held its gala awards ceremony in Paris at the weekend.

The evening held in the scenic setting of a Parissiene river boat with the Eiffel Tower witnessing the proceedings gathered the season’s protagonists which included the winners in the different categories, team representatives and partners of the Championship including representatives for the FIA, YOKOHAMA and the media.

The very able master of ceremony was Fabio Ravaioli who for years has served as the media contact for the promoters. In the Super 2000 TC2T category, the Campos Racing Russian driver Nikolay Karamyshev was crowned as the champion with a total of 103 pts.  Karamyshev was actually also honoured at the annual FIA Awards Ceremony in Qatar and the clash of dates meant he recorded a video message in gratitude to his team, business partners and competitors.  Runner up in the category was Mat'o Homola (93 pts) and Igor Skuz (79 pts) in third overall.

The 2014 Champion in the Super 2000 TC2 class Petr Fulín (128 pts) happily collected his trophy from David Oliva responsible for Communications at YOKOHAMA Europe in representation of the Japanese Tyre Manufacturer and exclusive supplier to the FIA ETCC.  Second placed was Michal Matĕjovský (84 pts) and 3rd placed overall Peter Rikli (50 pts).

Ladies Trophy

The ladies trophy which was also presented by the YOKOHAMA representative, was won by the German driver Ulrike Krafft who was joined in the podium by Ksenya Niks and Andrina Gugger in third.

The new FIA European Touring Car Cup 2015 Calendarwas also presented and is looking as follows with an additional race compared to this past season;
