One of the most popular rally activities in Denmark are the so called ”YOKOHAMA Mesterskab (Championship)”. The series of rally sprints consist of four events in the eastern part of the country, and four in the west.

The season concludes with a national final taking place in November. The third round in the East series took place in Roskilde over the past weekend and attracted 70 participating rally cars and hundreds of enthusiastic spectators – which included the local mayor of Roskilde Joy Mogensen.

The cars are normally divided into different classes, however the overall victory this time, was taken by Kenneth and Jacob Madsen in their extremely fast 2 litres YOKOHAMA fitted, Suzuki Swift Maxi, which was entered by Suzuki Motorsport Denmark.

Kenneth Madsen is the reigning Danish rally champion in his class and very likely to renew the crown again this year. YOKOHAMA Denmark are involved in various motorsport activities throughout the year and this support and dedication make YOKOHAMA a household name when it comes to choosing the high performance tyres for racing.

For his part Mr Kenneth Saust, responsible for YOKOHAMA Denmark and a keen Motorsport enthusiast and Rally driver himself expressed satisfaction at the way the weekend activities took shape and was very pleased with the complimentary feedback obtained from the drivers on the excellent performance of the tyres.

A group of YOKOHAMA Denmark representatives were also at hand during the weekend to support the activity and offer expert advice.
