YOKOHAMA chosen as Original Equipment for Morgan special edition

The Japanese manufacturer YOKOHAMA has been selected as the Original Equipment (OE) tyre for the latest addition to the Morgan range, the ARP4. Developed by Morgan's motorsport arm, AR Motorsport, just 50 examples of the AR Plus 4 will be produced and will be fitted with YOKOHAMA ADVAN NEOVA AD08R tyres as standard.

The car has been launched to celebrate 65 years of the iconic British sports car and already, all 50 hand-built examples have been sold, indicating the passion and demand for the marque.

The ARP4 is intended to be a fast road and track car and as such, boasts a host of additions over the 'standard' +4. These include increased output from the Cosworth two-litre engine, which now develops 225bhp, adjustable dampers, new brakes and of course, the ADVAN NEOVA AD08R tyres.

These are YOKOHAMA's most extreme road tyres, aimed at drivers looking for race-car like levels of grip and response, particularly on the circuit, combined with the brand's reputation for safety and comfort when used on-road.

In addition to the performance-enhancing upgrades, the ARP4 uses bare aluminium panels to create a new impression while additional sound-proofing, a redesigned dashboard and LED lights make the car more suited to long-distance cruising.
