SEAT LEON Eurocup Trophy Grand Finale
27 Oct 2015

The SEAT LEON Eurocup Trophy, which has the Japanese Tyre manufacturer YOKOHAMA as the Official Tyre supplier, comes to an epic finale at the Circuit de Catalunya this weekend.

The scenario for a brilliant end of season is the circuit of 4.627 metres and situated close to the city of Barcelona is considered one of the most technical tracks in Europe. It will close the Eurocup Trophy for the second consecutive year.

With the top two drivers Stian Paulsen and Pol Rosell tied on 72 points, it is anybody’s guess as to who will be crowned as the Champion of this international series which is sanctioned by the FIA.

Rosell, Champion last year, however has the advantage of being local and having very significant experience of the track knowing each nook and cranny at Barcelona’s circuit. Home crowd support is also guaranteed to go his way. Last year a large crowd of 11,000 spectators witnessed his solid performance which crowned him.

For his part the Norwegian Paulsen has had a strong regular season and is a top competitor who also has wide past experience in the FIA European Touring Car Championship among other high level Motorsport competitions. Paulsen is meticulous in all his preparation which he conducts almost singlehandedly and performs in a cool and collected manner.

“The season has been very competitive and this is going to be an intense race. With no rain forecast at present, the additional factors could be the erratic winds at Montmelo and the rough surface of the circuit, these could really prove the determining factors in the final outcome.  Good luck to all competitors” stated David Oliva, Communications Manager for YOKOHAMA Europe.
