YOKOHAMA to Come Factory-Equipped on Mazda’s New CX-9

Tokyo – The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., announced today that its “GEOLANDAR H/T G056” has been selected as original equipment on Mazda Motor Corporation’s all-new Mazda CX-9 three-row midsize crossover SUV, to be launched in North America from this spring. Two tyre sizes will be supplied: P255/60R18 107H and 255/60R18 108H.

The “GEOLANDAR H/T G056” was developed as a highway terrain tyre for use on midsize and large SUVs, sales of which are expanding around the globe. Developed to meet drivers’ demands for tyres that deliver exceptional wear resistance and durability, quietness and comfort, and handling performance, the “GEOLANDAR H/T G056” delivers a comfortable ride on city streets and out on the highway.

The new CX-9 is a high-end model in Mazda’s new-generation line-up, all models of which come equipped with the car manufacturer’s SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO - Soul of Motion design. The all-new CX-9 moves toward a more premium design execution and achieves an enhanced Jinba-ittai driving feel, providing drivers with a sense of oneness with their vehicle.
